Text mining put to work: "Evidence-based exam preparation"

FUELS member Hanjo Hamann has just published a piece that helps students select the most important topics when preparing for the first state exam in law. Using a "distant reading" text-mining approach, he has analyzed a decade of state exams in private law from a major German state to identify the most frequent legal problems to cover. The article (in German) has just come out in the latest issue of the open-access journal Zeitschrift für das juristische Studium (ZJS).
