The Institute for Public International Law and European Union Law at Freie Universität Berlin invites you to a special book panel co-organized with Bard College Berlin.
On Tuesday, 3 December 2024, from 18:00 (sharp) to 19:30 we will discuss a recently published book by Simon Curtis and Ian Klaus on The Belt and Road City in the light of its implication for geopolitics, urbanization and the future international order.
The event will take place at Freie Universität Berlin, Department of Law, Boltzmannstr. 3, in Room 3302 (2nd floor).
The panel will feature presentations by
- Andrew Hurrell, Senior Research Fellow, Balliol College and Emeritus Montague Burton Professor at International Relations, University of Oxford and
- Daniela Zupan, Junior Professor for European Cities and Urban Heritage, Bauhaus University Weimar
as well as a response by one of the authors of the book:
- Simon Curtis, Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Surrey.
The panel was convened and will be moderated by Helmut Aust of Freie Universität Berlin and Boris Vormann, Professor of Politics at Bard College Berlin.
