Thomas Franck Lecture: “The Polish Constitutional Tribunal and European Union law on a collision course”
The Berlin Potsdam Research Group “The International Rule of Law – Rise or Decline?”
takes great pleasure in inviting you to a public lecture by Dr. Paweł Filipek (Krakow
University of Economics; Office of the Polish Commissioner for Human Rights), on
“The Polish Constitutional Tribunal and European Union law on a collision course”.
Dr. Paweł Filipek is assistant professor at Krakow University of Economics and Chief
Specialist at the Office of the Polish Commissioner for Human Rights. In the context of his
work for the Polish Commissioner for Human Rights, he has been involved in judicial
proceedings regarding the European/Polish legal relationship. Dr. Paweł Filipek is an expert
in human rights law, with a focus on the law of the European Convention on Human Rights.
His further research interests include EU law and public international law, in particular with
regard to the law of international organizations and international monitoring mechanisms.
The lecture will take place on Monday, 13 December 2021, at 6.15 pm, as an online event.
