Hanjo Hamann will be honored as Rising Researcher of the Year 2020 by the Zeit publishing group and the German University Association (Deutscher Hochschulverband) for his interdisciplinary work in law, empirical legal studies, law and economics and legal linguistics. He is a member of the Freie Universität Empirical Legal Studies Center (FUELS) since 2020 and teaches law at Freie Universität, besides working as senior research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods.
