Pleae note: There are two "Introduction to the Anglo-American Law and Legal System" courses taking place one after another. One of them is for German students, the other is for international exchange students and LL.M.-students. Please choose the course for international exchange students and LL.M.-students.
Course Description
The aim of this course is to comprehend the fundamentals of the Anglo-American legal system (now spread worldwide) as well as to acquire a relevant general legal vocabulary. Students will also begin to interact with legal subject-matter in a text-based context, thus developing their communicative skills. Individual communicative and intercultural competence is promoted through structured interaction between the legal texts and the learner group.
Course Registration
Prior registration for this course is not required.
Exam
There will be a take-home examination.
Registration for the Exam
Students have to register for the exam with the course instructor. They are not required to register formally at the Examination Office.
