Erasmus Program (Europe) and Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP)

Scholars from our Erasmus and Swiss partner universities have the option to spend 5 days at the Law Department of Freie Universität Berlin, doing research and teaching 8 hours of lessons.

The best time for guest professors to teach at Freie Universität Berlin is from early November to late January in the winter term and from early May to late June in the summer term.

The topic of the guest lecture can be suggested by the guest professor. Teaching is possible in English, French, Spanish, and German.

Professors and lecturers from these universities who are interested to give speeches or courses at the Law Department of Freie Universität Berlin should contact the International Office at the Law Department at least six months before they wish to travel.

Funding for the visit must be requested at the guest professor's home university.

Erasmus+ Worldwide Program

Partner Universities:

Partner universities in this program are changing every year or every other year. If you are interested to teach at FU Berlin under this program, please ask the Erasmus Coordinator at your home university, if there is a valid agreement for the Erasmus worldwide program between your home university and Freie Universität Berlin.

Scope of the Teaching Program at the FU Law School:

8 hours per week / 5 days

Languages of Instruction:

The preferred language is English, but instruction in French, Spanish or German would also be possible.
